Precision Aspheric Lenses for Advanced Optical Systems

Aspheric lenses are precision optical components engineered to provide superior aberration correction and enhanced performance compared with conventional spherical lenses. By tailoring surface curvature away from a simple sphere, aspheric lenses significantly reduce spherical aberration, improve imaging quality, and allow optical systems to be lighter, more compact, and more cost‑effective. These advantages make them indispensable in high‑performance applications such as machine vision, compact camera modules, laser focusing systems, infrared imaging, medical diagnostics, and advanced lighting optics.

We produce both glass and fused silica aspheric lenses with diameters ranging from Ø5 mm to Ø600 mm, covering a wide spectrum of industrial and scientific demands. Our manufacturing capabilities include CNC precision polishing and magnetorheological finishing (MRF) to deliver ultra‑smooth surfaces with typical surface accuracy values of PV < 1 µm and RMS < 1 µm, ensuring high imaging fidelity and repeatability. We also handle precision moulded polymer aspheres for high‑volume cost‑sensitive production.

Available materials include high‑grade optical glass, UV‑grade fused silica for deep ultraviolet transmission, germanium (Ge) for infrared applications, and calcium fluoride (CaF₂) for UV–IR broadband optics. Standard and custom anti‑reflection (AR), broadband AR (BBAR), and infrared (IR) coatings are applied to enhance transmission, suppress surface reflections, and optimize performance across desired spectral ranges. Coating curves and performance data can be provided upon request.

Quality assurance is backed by advanced metrology: Zygo interferometric testing for wavefront error analysis, Mahr profilometry for surface texture evaluation, and comprehensive technical inspection reports with interferograms and surface maps. Datasheets, 3D CAD models, and custom tolerance specifications are available to support engineering design and integration.

Whether you are developing next‑gen imaging systems, precision optical lenses for research instruments, or custom optical assemblies for aerospace, our aspheric lens solutions balance optical performance, manufacturability, and cost‑effectiveness.
