The Advantage of Quartz
1. High temperature resistance
The softening point temperature of quartz glass is approximately 1730℃. It can be used for a long time at 1100℃, and the maximum short-term usage temperature can reach 1450℃.
2. Corrosion Resistance
Apart from hydrofluoric acid, quartz glass hardly undergoes any chemical reaction with other acid substances. Its acid resistance is 30 times that of ceramics and 150 times that of stainless steel. Particularly in terms of chemical stability at high temperatures, it surpasses any other engineering materials.
3. Excellent thermal stability
It has an extremely low coefficient of thermal expansion when compared to glass, and can withstand significant temperature fluctuations. Even when heated to around 1100℃ and placed in room temperature water, it will not crack.
4. Excellent light transmission performance
The quartz glass sheet exhibits excellent light transmission performance across the entire spectrum from ultraviolet to infrared. The visible light transmittance is above 93%, especially in the ultraviolet spectral range, where the transmittance can reach over 80%.
5. Excellent electrical insulation performance
The resistance value of quartz glass is approximately 10,000 times that of ordinary glass. It is an excellent insulating material and maintains good electrical properties even at room temperature.
